There is also a lovely heated outdoor pool here. The popular towns of Moussac and Confolens are within easy reach. Both have good shops, restaurants etc and are also popular spots in the summer as they offer water-based activities (canoeing etc) on the picturesque river Vienne.
The airports at Poitiers and Limoges are both about an hour away and the ferry port at St Malo is about a 5hr drive.
