Pessac itself is a lovely riverside town with a good selection of local shops and restaurants to explore as well as a bar in the old port during the summer months. There are many activities to enjoy - canoeing/kayaking and obviously fishing, nearby. Bergerac Airport is 30minutes away, while the airport at Bordeaux is 1 hour away. The nearest station is Vélines which takes about 4 minutes in the car, and which has direct trains to Libourne and Bordeaux. .
