The town lies in the unspoilt countryside of the Mayenne. Technically the town is situated within the Pays de la Loire region, but in many respects Gorron considers itself Norman, certainly the atmosphere and character of the town is typical of Normandy. The town has a good selection of shops, services and restaurants. The excellent weekly market should not be missed!
