The property is situated in the hamlet of Menetou-sur-Nahon in the picturesque Indre department of the Centre-Val de Loire. This department of France is thought to be one of the most picturesque in the whole of the Loire region but remains relatively ‘under the radar’ meaning that property prices are still very reasonable. It’s well known for its pretty countryside, abundance of stunning chateaux and of course its gastronomy. The nearby Valencay Chateau (10mins drive from the house) is one of the most beautiful in the whole of France. Valencay is also where you’ll find a good selection of shops, supermarket etc.
The nearest market is in Chabris, 4km away and is held each Saturday. Selles sur Cher and Amboise, both very easily accessible, also have large, very popular weekly markets.
