The village is a classic Languedoc village in the hills. The River Gourdon lies just to the south, which some wonderful walking in the gorge. Pont-du-Gard is about a 20min drive. The nearest shops and all amenities including a supermarket is just 5mins away.
If you’re looking to head to a larger town, the village is ideally place to visit both Uzès and Nîmes, both lovely historical towns with fresh produce markets that just have to be explored. Nîmes is a great city to spend time getting to know. It’s is clean and has a pedestrianise historic city centre. As you walk from one square to another along tree-lined avenues, it is all too easy to get distracted by any of the restaurants, cafés and independent shops. It also has the airport which is about a 40min drive from there to the house.
