The accommodation is extremely spacious and if you require ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms, this house can provide those facilities. Here’s the layout:

Just down the slope from the house is the swimming pool with a surrounding terrace and under cover dining area. A small stream runs along the bottom of the garden - perfect for watering the garden!
Surrounding the garden, the fields are ideal for ponies.
Every now and then, you may have to prise yourself away from the tranquil valley for supplies and it’s just a 4km trip into the centre of Duras. Duras is a lovely medieval town, popular with visitors, but plenty of resources for the locals too. Complete with fabulous chateau and authentic weekly farmers market in the town square, it may not be a particularly large town but there is an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and shops as well as all the useful amenities you will need.
If you are a keen walker, there are lots of lovely country-side walks on the randonées and vineyard paths. There is also a choice of golf courses and plenty of opportunity for a spot of fresh water swimming and perhaps fishing in the lakes. This is also a good area for cycling.
