The property is located in the hamlet of Vercland, on the outskirts of Samoëns. Within 2 mins walk of the chalet is the foot of the piste and the brand new 10-person gondola - it's as close as you can get to 'ski in, ski out' in Samoëns. The chalet is also a short walk from one of the most popular restaurants in the area.
Modest altitude with no tortuous hairpin mountain climbs make Samoëns one of the more accessible bases for anyone planning to ski in the Grand Massif area. The resort is relatively 'under the radar' meaning that property prices are a fraction of what they might be in the more fashionable resorts. Reassuringly heavy snowfalls, excellent skiing, and proximity to Geneva airport (1hr drive) mean that Samoëns is gaining in popularity, especially with British visitors.
The owners of the property are British and in 2011 (when they first decided to move to the Alps from the UK) they decided to take a road trip and research where they would most like to live. Samoëns came out on top and they've been here ever since!
