As part of a collection of 18th century buildings on the edge of a pretty hamlet, the farmhouse sits on a 3 acre site that was renovated and developed in 1999. The work was completed to a very high standard and the character and integrity of the site has been fully maintained. The land and facilities are joint-owned by the seven properties and the communal nature of the gardens, swimming pool and tennis court mean the wonderful facilities are there to enjoy, without having to worry about doing all the maintenance!
The property is semi-detached and is the south-facing half of a typical Périgord farmhouse with many original features, such as the wooden beams, stonework and fireplace. Here’s the layout:
Ground floor with tiled floors throughout:
Large sitting room with original fireplace with wood-burning stove and glazed door to terrace
Fully equipped kitchen with open plan dining area
Ground floor double bedroom with storage space, configured with twin beds
Shower room and WC
Storage cupboard with space for utilities
Master bedroom with ensuite shower room. East-facing french windows open onto a wooden balcony
Bedroom 3 - a double bedroom configured with twin beds and storage
Bedroom 4 - beneath wooden eaves, a double bedroom with wonderful views of the valley below and additional storage
A south-facing patio runs the full length of the farmhouse and there is a BBQ and wisteria-covered pergola outside the kitchen that offers the perfect shady spot for al fresco dining in the summer. At the bottom of the garden is a shed that use used to store the sun loungers and family bicycles. The grounds cover approx 3 acres and include the 14m x 7m swimming pool and all-weather tennis court - both approx 50m from the property.
